Falling in Love with My JCrew Pink Coat

Having lived for a bit in Toronto, a place where the winters can be frigid one year and then mild the next, can really get you thinking about investing in the right winter pieces. The first winter we were in Toronto, the weather was in the negatives more days than not. And I, oh so blithe, moving from San Diego, thought I really had my jacket game on point. Hahahaha. You would have laughed if you saw me layered, nay I say bundled, like the kid from The Christmas Story (the one who looked like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man than a child). That. Was. Me. I had made entirely all the wrong jacket fabric choices.

Now that I'm back in San Diego, I needn't worry about the frigid temps but I do know the value in getting a good winter coat. This season, a pink wool coat has been on my radar. I love a good rich fall tone as much as the next gal but I've been really feeling the lighter colors this go round.
