Insider Tips for Shopping Westfield UTC Mall During the Holidays

This holiday season I am doing two things when it comes to holiday shopping. I'm combining moments of shopping small with the art of mall shopping. I find myself at the Westfield UTC a lot lately. There are quite a bit of shops I love to purchase from, Madewell, Nordstrom, J.Crew, and Anthro being some of the constants. Being that I am there so much, I've stored away some insider tips that I'm sharing to help you navigate mall shopping over the holidays.

Insider Tips for Shopping Westfield UTC Mall during the Holidays

Westfield UTC mall has undergone quite a fabulous renovation and shops like Aritzia, H&M, Ted Baker, Gorjana, Saje Wellness, and Credo have opened up. Not to mention, there are some amazing food & drink options too! Not only does this make for a well-rounded shopping day for me but I can bring along baby Kate and there are a whole lot of perks for shopping as a mom too. Here are my favorite 'stylist secrets' that I subscribe to when I'm shopping at the Westfield UTC mall. I find them especially useful when shopping around the holidays.

Aritzia's Dressing Room

Concierge Services

This is seriously one of the most underrated services you can take advantages of at the UTC mall! Concierge services has a kiosk set up near Palm Plaza, near the performance stage/food court. Concierge services is an amazing resource that will do everything for you from offering flavored water to helping you pick out a gift for anyone on your list. They have package check to store your packages while you take a break to eat or watch a movie. They'll even make dinner reservations for you while you shop and you can stop there to charge your phone!

Curbside Pickup - (Nordstrom)

If you ever been in a rush, and let's face it around the holidays we're always in a rush, then curbside pickup makes multi-tasking that much easier! I'm a big fan of using this service when I have Kate in the car with me and I need to make the most of the time I have. How does it work? You can order something online via the Nordstrom website and they'll have it ready for you to pick up via a phone call or the Nordstrom App!

Mama Friendly Bathrooms -

One thing I've noticed is now a must when shopping are mom-friendly (ie: take a quite break or breastfeeding friendly) spaces. Westfield UTC has beautifully decorated (think cozy, tufted couch) and quiet, mama friendly bathrooms that are located near the Apple Store (entrances are next to Origins and Credo Beauty). There are also some on the second level of Nordstrom near the restaurant.

Valet Parking -

I find this service (which is just $8.00) to be extremely useful when I don't want to fight the holiday, mid-day or rush-hour traffic. Valet parking makes it so much easier to get in and out of the car and not have to drive around and around fighting for a parking spot. Westfield UTC mall is going to start implementing hourly parking, so this beats having to worry about finding your parking ticket after a day of shopping! Valet parking is available on the La Jolla Village Dr. side near Genesee Ave.

Here are some handpicked favorites for the holidays from the shops that are open at Westfield UTC. I'm a huge fan of diffusing the air in our home around the holiday with pine-y, pepperminty scents and the diffusers from Saje are some of my favorites. I also love mixing masculine with feminine and warmth. What better way to combine the two with fabulous sneakers from Ted Baker mixed with a great pleated skirt from Anthro or gold camisole from Aritzia. These are some of my favorite holiday gifts that are all at the Westfield UTC mall!
